Drove from Vancouver to do the Tandem Intro Course with my 16yo daughter while my son did MB at Silver Star Resort. We had a great time on the water so much so that we are signed up to do the Intermediate Tandem Course.
This is my 2nd year taking courses with Elements Adventure Company. I had canoed only a few times on a lake and never on a river. The first course I took I felt so safe and supported by Charles, who was the instructor, that I took a series of courses back to back. This year I feel confident to go on a few overnight white water canoe trips and I am excited for where the river will take me next!
Took my 16-year-old son for a weekend course and we both loved it. Charles is an excellent instructor - clear, patient, knowledgeable, and kind. The first day gave us the necessary foundations and the second day gave us lots of opportunities to put those new skills into practice, having fun playing in rapids. I found it easy to trust in Charles' expertise as he has so much experience. He definitely turned us on to the sport! I would highly recommend Elements Adventure courses even if you're just curious and new to canoeing.
